The Library will be closing at 3 PM on Friday, December 19, due to storm conditions. As of this date, it looks as if we will be open on Saturday and Sunday, unless serious storm conditions persist.

Barrington Library is very pleased to have received a grant from the Champlin Foundations for $10,750 to install new air conditioning for the computer network room at the library. In addition, the Champlin Foundations gave more than $14,000 on behalf of Barrington Library to Ocean State Library Network, to be used to purchase new computers and other computer related hardware for the library.

There’s going to be a major U.S. census taken in 2010. There will be many thousands of of good paying, part time jobs available for census workers in Rhode Island alone.Barrington Library will serve as a testing and training site.
