Edie had it all in high school - she was beautiful, artistic, outrageous and rebellious - and overweight, invisible Heather was dazzled when Edie befriended her. Living on the fringes of the popular kids, Heather would do anything for Edie, be the perfect friend. One terrible night everything changed and now Edie is in her thirties, alone and pregnant. And she's being watched. Heather is back, once again the perfect friend, ready to help care for baby Maya while Edie succumbs to a deep post-partum depression. Soon Heather has taken over the tiny apartment and seems to have no intentions of leaving, even when Edie becomes stronger and is now ready to take care of her baby. Edie feels Heather has taken over what little life she now has, and after being concerned for her safety and that of her child, she orders Heather to leave. But Heather doesn't let go easily. And Edie is being watched, again. This psychological thriller will keep the reader guessing what really happened that fateful night long ago, and how the secrets of the past never stay buried.
