Read, review a book and attend a program for chances to win great prizes. Log what you have read and bring it to the library or email tanya@barringtonlibrary.org with your information.  For grades 6-12. Program starts on June 29th and ends on August 22nd. 

 Stop by the Teen Meeting Room and play a video game. The Wii game system is all set up and ready to go! We have four remotes and several games. Bring your own game to play.  

Click on the "Featured Book Lists" link in the drop-down menu above for your child's school reading lists and/or recommendations.  If Barrington's copy is checked out, just about anything you desire can be borrowed from another library and sent to Barrington for your convenience.  Look for the "Summer Reading Favorites" Display which highlights all-time favorites and/or classics from previous summer reading lists.  Summer is the perfect time for kids to read for pleasure while still maintaining their reading levels.

June 26 is the official kick-off registration day for the Summer Reading Club:  "Build A Better World" for independent readers.  When stopping by the children's room to register your indpendent readers, remember to sign your pre-readers up for their own special summer reading club.  Jot down shared reading minutes together and bring your form to the library in exchange for fun prizes.  Complete details and summer reading club packages will be provided at registration.  Stop by the children's desk for more information!
