America's greatest bargain!

Mon, 02/04/2008 - 2:57pm -- JDavanza

Libraries have been called “America’s greatest bargain”.  If you would like to see how much of a bargain, go to this link: http://www.olis.ri.gov/grants/gia/calculator.php

You can easily calculate what “return” you get on your tax dollar, each time you use a library service.

This information was provided by Rhode Island's Office of Library and Information Services.

More On Tax Forms

Wed, 01/30/2008 - 11:19am -- JDavanza

The State of Rhode Island no longer distributes tax forms to libraries but our library can help by providing photocopy service or downloading forms for 15 cents per page.

Forms can be obtained via computer by the website www.tax.ri.gov, by calling 574-8970, or going to the Rhode Island Division of Taxation at One Capitol Hill in Providence Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 3:30.

A reminder: The library staff is not trained to provide tax help, but you can call 574-8829 for assistance.
