The library has provided the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form for several years, but the Federal Department of Education has now suspended distribution of these forms to schools and libraries due to a decrease in the submission of these forms by students as it appears this is now being done on line for the most part.
Students will be able to request up to three paper copies by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-433-3243 and should receive them in 3 to 7...

The Reading Across Rhode Island title for 2008 is Sara Gruen’s Depression-era circus novel Water for Elephants. Two mini-courses centered on the novel will be offered this spring at the Barrington Public Library. The annual giant Friends of the Barrington Library booksale was a great success this past weekend. The sale brought in more than $7,000! The proceeds will be used to purchase museum passes, library programs, recorded books, teen materials, and many other items that the Friends purchase for the library each year.
