Literary Pairings Book Discussion Group

Literary Pairings Book Discussion Group meets the second Wednesday of the Month from 7 to 8:30 pm from September through June. Participants will read an assigned classic one month followed by a contemporary readalike similar in theme, plot and/or characters the following month. Facilitators Nancy Christy and librarian Jane Granatino will lead the discussions, but participants are encouraged to bring their own questions as well.

The selection for January 9th is It Can't Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis.

Book Club Giveaway - Ten copies available of Frankenstein; or The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley

Celebrate 200 Years of Frankenstein! 1818-2018. Read the classic and timeless Gothic novel by Mary Shelley. First 10 participants to sign up will receive a free copy. We will discuss the book while decorating and eating chocolate brains on Thursday, October 25 (which kicks off our Frankenstein Week Celebration).

Reading in the Kitchen: a Cookbook Club

A book club for those who like to read cookbooks and enjoy a community meal.

The group meets monthly on the third Monday night of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a dish to share from that month’s cookbook and their own table setting. 

Registration is required. This group cannot accommodate drop-ins.
