Walk through our Graphic Novel Story Walk, stop by our chiminea, draw something on one of our many stand-up whiteboards and watch some videos about the world of graphic novels on our inflatable movie screen, Snacks will be provided while supplies last! Please register to help us plan.
*Extended to February 12th!! Try your hand at designing an outfit using just tape and some book pages (from damaged, well-read books that could not be salvaged). Most creative design will receive a copy of Playing with Books: The Art of Upcycling, Deconstructing, and Reimagining the Book by Jason Thompson and the chance to recreate their design on our Teen Room mannequin when they are able to. Instructions are as follows:
Runs until December 31st. Walk through our Dickens Story Walk featuring text from A Christmas Carol and images from the 1971 Academy Award-winning animated short film by Richard Williams. Join us as we commemorate Charles Dickens on the 150th year of his passing. Library Cove is located directly behind the library by the river's edge. Follow the signs! Stop by at your leisure and please be mindful to stay 6 feet apart from others if the need arises. And be sure to leave a tally mark to let us know you've walked through!
