Monthly Meditation & Book Discussion

Join us each month to relax, renew, and become a part of the present moment. Monthly Meditation runs the second Wednesday of the month from October thru May and includes 30 minutes of meditation and 30 minutes of a book discussion.

Our Monthly Meditation is led by Mary Scannell, a certified meditation facilitator. She will introduce different styles of meditation such as: guided, mindfulness, walking, movement, color, and tone. Participants can take this information with them for a richer practice at home.

For the discussion this year we focus on the book, Fully Present: the Science, Art, and Practice of Mindfulness by Susan L. Smalley and Diana Winston from UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center. Registered participants will receive an email with information on obtaining copies of the book from the library and the reading schedule.
