Family Scavenger Hunt: Sowams Woods

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL.

Spring is in the air! Come explore the outdoors and search for signs of Spring on a scavenger hunt that gets the whole family involved.

Participants will be provided with a list of items and observations to search for during the approximately 1 mile walk at Sowams Woods, a Barrington Land Conservation Trust property located off Washington Road.

This walk is ideal for elementary school-aged children and their parents or grandparents but all are welcomeregardless of age.  Everyone should dress warmly and with the expectation that you might get muddy.

Led by the Barrington Land Conservation Trust. The Barrington Land Conservation Trust, Inc. is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt group. Its purpose is to preserve the remaining natural resources of Barrington, Rhode Island and adjacent areas including water resources, streams, ponds, marshlands, woodlands, and scenic and natural sites, as well as the plant and animal life.

Free and open to all.

Participants will meet at the walk site by 10 am. We are not meeting at the Library.
