Fiction Writing Workshop

Beginner through advanced writers are welcome to join the library's 6-week Fiction Writing Workshop.

Do you have a story to tell? Now’s the time to move your idea from inspiration to page. This workshop will explore the craft of fiction through writing exercises. Each session focuses on an element of narrative, such as character development, description or point of view. In a supportive environment, participants will write and share their work, receiving valuable feedback from fellow writers. Writers at all levels will strengthen their writing and their connection to creativity. Bring a laptop or good old fashion paper and pen.

The workshop is led by Tina Egnoski, a fiction writer and poet. She’s the author of three books: This Invisible BeautyIn the Time of the Feast of Flowers and Perishables. Her work has been published in number of literary journals, including Carolina QuarterlyThe Masters Review and Saw Palm Journal. She has received fellowships from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts and the Colorado Arts Council. She’s the director of the Ocean State Writing Conference.
