British High Tea with BCS

Michelin Stars are popping up all over the British Isles, putting short shrift to its longstanding, terrible reputation following the years after World War II. With thousands emigrating from the Far East, Middle East and Eastern Europe, the face of England’s multi-cultural cuisines has changed dramatically. That said, one aspect of the British food scene has, thankfully, not changed – the traditional tea.

Following a guided tour of Boston Public Library, which will include the splendid murals painted by American artist, John Singer Sargent, we’ll enjoy a traditional British tea which includes a wide variety of savory tea sandwiches, scones served with blood orange preserves, lemon curd & Devonshire cream, five different types of petit fours, and a wide variety of teas . This offering is co-sponsored by BCS and Friends of the Barrington Public Library to complement its Cookbook Club.

FEE: $115 Members/$128 Non-Members. For trip details and to register contact Barrington Community School at 401-245-0432 or view their Fall Schedule for full registration details at barrcommschool.com.
