It's Time We Talk About Technology: A 3-Part Series

Children and adolescents are exposed to and use technology and electronic devices at home, in school, and in their social environment at an unprecedented rate. This exposure has impacts on their brain development as well as their social emotional development. Come learn about those impacts as well as how to address these in this three-part series on March 7, 14 and 28.

Part 3: Technology Resilient Children: Helping our Children to Thrive in an Electronic Culture

What do we do now?  As our children navigate an increasingly electronic and technologically driven world, we will learn how to ensure that they have the skills, habits, and perspective they need to see technology as a tool to employ rather than a requirement to depend upon. Bring your children to this session with you if you would like, and they can learn alongside you about the impact technology has on their own brain and how they can make smart technology decisions and feel empowered about their choices. Elementary ages 6 to 6:45 pm and Adolescents 7 to 7:45 pm.

Jordyn Hagar is Barrington resident and a clinical social worker licensed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, with almost 15 years of experience doing therapy with children, adolescents, and families.
