ADDICTION NOVA Documentary Screening and Discussion

Hear firsthand from individuals struggling with addiction and follow the cutting-edge work of doctors and scientists as they investigate why addiction is not a moral failing, but a chronic, treatable medical condition.  Discussion following the film will be led by Thomas Joyce of the East Bay Recovery Center. 

Thomas Joyce LCDP, CPRS, Program Director of East Bay Recovery Center, is a behavioral health professional at East Bay Community Action Program with more than 12 years’ experience in the Substance Abuse Treatment and Peer Recovery Support fields.

Mr. Joyce is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional with experience in both Adolescent and Adult populations. Mr. Joyce is an experienced nationally recognized advocate who represented the Recovery Community on the Governor’s Overdose Prevention and Intervention Task Force, the Rhode Island Overdose Prevention and Rescue Coalition, and The Mayor’s Substance Abuse Prevention Council in Providence. Mr. Joyce is a member of Rhode Island Licensing Board for Chemical Dependency Professionals.
