Hone Your Words: Intermediate Poetry Workshop

THIS CLASS IS FULL. To join the waitlist email: jessicad@barringtonlibrary.org

Intermediate writers are welcome to join the library's 6-week poetry writing workshop. You will have the opportunity to meet other writers and workshop your poems in a supportive, creative environment. Although some writing prompts may be provided, we will focus on revision--shaping and refining your work through revising exercises and getting feedback on individual poems from workshop participants and the instructor. We will also read poems by published writers who might be inspirational or provide models for your own writing and revising.

The workshop is led by Professor Kara Provost, who teaches writing at Curry College. She has two books of published poetry (Nests and Topless) as well as poems in many literary journals and anthologies.

The workshop is free and is limited to 15 adult participants. Register using the form below.
