A Night of Food, Books, & Knitting with Ann Hood

Acclaimed novelist and memoirist Ann Hood joins us at Meraki Stitch Studio in Warren for an evening of food, books and knitting! Space is limited. Free tickets are available via Eventbrite.

Bring your travel knitting project and settle in for an evening social with Ann and fellow crafters. Our partner, Inkfish Books will also join us and have several of Ann's books available for sale and signing. To reserve a copy for purchase the night of the event please email Lisa from Inkfish Books at info@inkfishbooks.com.

Ann's new memoir, Kitchen Yarns: Notes on Life, Love, and Food will be released in paperback on Dec 3. Hood writes about how various meals connect to something deeper in her life--loss, family, confusion, growing up, grief, joy, and love. Ann grew up eating. A lot. Her culinary life began in her Italian American childhood in West Warwick, RI and then expanded when she traveled the world as a TWA flight attendant. It was during this time she grew sophisticated and threw dinner parties for friends and cooked for her three beloved children. Today, Ann is married to the food writer, Michael Ruhlman. She has found that food can comfort and uplift, bring people together, and offer hope in dark times. It is a book to be read for anyone who has ever loved, lost, and started over from scratch. Each chapter contains recipes and nourishment of both body and soul.

Ann Hood is the author of nine previous books, including the best-selling memoir, Comfort: A Journey Through Grief and best-selling novels The Book That Matters Most and The Knitting Circle. She lives in Providence, RI.

Free and open to all with an Eventbrite ticket.
