National Card & Letter Writing Month Postcard Take-Away Kit

National Card & Letter Writing Month (April 1 - May 14) is an annual effort to promote literacy and celebrate the art of letter writing. The writing, sending and receiving of letters, postcards and greeting cards is a traditional that has preserved our nation's history and changed lives. Unlike other forms of communications, card and letter writing is timeless, personal and immediately tangible.

In honor of National Card & Letter Writing Month, we have organized a Postcard Take-Away Kit event where you will be able to color and personalize a set of postcards.

Each kit contains:

    • 3 pre-stamped postcards
    • A 12-pack of colored pencils
    • Instructions

One post-card is addressed to Barrington Public Library, one postcard is address to Atria Bay Spring Village, and one post card is left blank for you to send to whoever you wish. We ask that you please get your postcards in the mail as soon as possible.

Register below to reserve a kit. Registration runs from April 15 - May 14. One kit per household please. You can pickup your postcard kit at the Reference Desk anytime before May 14. Free and open to all.

This program is supported by The Friends of the Barrington Public Library.
