Lessons From a (Probably Should Be) Committed Writer: Webinar with Barrington Author Elizabeth Splaine

Lessons From a (Probably Should Be) Committed Writer is a webinar, on Tuesday, October 5 at 7 pm, for would-be-writers with national writing contest winner Elizabeth B. Splaine.

Infused with personal experience and humor, Elizabeth provides a fun, safe atmosphere in which would-be and early writers feel comfortable asking questions and become inspired to put fingers to keyboard in pursuit of their writing dreams.

It will cover the following:

  • Write — learn the importance of understanding why and for whom you write, as well as the importance of discipline and wordplay.
  • Publish  — learn about accepting criticism, editing, contract negotiations, and self versus traditional publishing.
  • Market — learn to appreciate the role of social media and a publicist, the importance of "getting out there," and learn how to create a larger market audience.
Elizabeth B. Splaine is a seasoned speaker and author. You might even say she’s spicy, or sassy, or a combination of all three. She’s had various careers: a healthcare administrator, a mother, an opera singer, a voice teacher, and a writer. As a writer, she has self-published, submitted to and won a national writing contest, and traditionally published. She has experienced the gamut of writing victories and pitfalls and is combining the wisdom garnered from her various occupational pursuits to present this talk.

Elizabeth has coached at the When Words Count Writing competition and has presented at various libraries in New England. Her website is elizabethsplaineauthor.com
