JOB RESOURCES AVAILABLE AT THE LIBRARY

Job Center computers

Any public access computer can be a Job Center computer with unlimited time for creating resumes, job searches, online testing, and completing online applications. Due to limited time allowed in the library and social distancing, we cannot accommodate extended time on the public computers at this time. Patrons are allowed up to 1 hour. Please ask at the Reference Desk, or call 401-247-1920 x2 for more information.

Print Resources

Adjacent to our public access computers is a print collection of titles to help with improving tech skills, advice on creating resumes and cover letters, and vocational guidance. Resources are available to check out with your library card.

Hloom: Provides templates for resumes, cover letters, flyers, fax covers and more in Microsoft Word for easy editing.

Job Seeker Center (AskRI.org): Local, state, and national web links including job searching, job postings, resources, career assistance, and more.
LearnHowToBecome.org: Comprehensive resources to help students and aspiring professionals define their career path, from education/training to interviewing skills.
LiveCareer.com: Provides free professionally-written cover letter examples by industry and job title.
Occupational Outlook Handbook: Find career information on duties, education and training, pay, and outlook for hundreds of occupations. Print versions available in Job Center Collection (2018/19 ed. in-library use only) and Nonfiction Collection.
