Description: | All levels are welcome for this vinyasa yoga practice with Charlotte. Experience movement sequences designed to open up, tone and bring balance to your body. Patrons will be guided in through movement, breathwork and meditation techniques to best rest, restore, and reset. Practice level is for people who can move from the floor to standing without assistance. Bring a yoga mat, water and any props you may need from your home practice. Always consult your doctor prior to any new physical activity. Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes early to set up, settle in, and start on time. Free and open to adults. Registration is required for each class. About Charlotte Love Lombardi: A life-long explorer of creative arts and holistic wellness, Charlotte started practicing yoga in 2000 while raising a young family. During those early years of motherhood, Charlotte also developed a love for gardening, knitting, and sewing. She draws upon creative activities to deepen her relationship to yoga and meditation which informs and inspires her coaching and yoga instruction. As Charlotte’s family grew, so did the balancing importance of yoga. Experiencing Kripalu, Hatha, Baptiste and Prana Vinyasa styles ultimately led Charlotte to complete both a 200 and 500-hour Prana Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, created by Shiva Rea a full spectrum approach to Living Yoga, taught by Senior Teacher, Coral Brown. The class will cover a variety of online resources that can be used to learn about environmental issues and ways to make a positive impact on the planet. Patrons will learn how to access online databases and e-books through the library's website, including academic journals, books, and articles on environmental topics such as sustainability, renewable energy, and conservation. This tech class will cover the digital content related to Earth Day available through Libby, hoopla, Kanopy, and Flipster. These platforms provide users with access to a wide range of digital media, including e-books, audiobooks, movies, TV shows, and magazines. The class will also cover how to use online tools, such as interactive maps and data visualizations, to explore environmental data and trends. Patrons will learn about resources for finding information on local and national environmental organizations, as well as ways to participate in environmental volunteer and advocacy opportunities. This class is designed for those who are interested in learning more about the environment and ways to make a positive impact, and it will provide a comprehensive overview of the library's resources and tools for environmental research and education. |
