Museum Passes

Most museums and institutions are gradually reopening. Reopening dates are subject to change depending on public health data, and state and local regulations. We will do our best to update each museum pass as we learn of any reopening. We recommend you contacting the museum or institution before planning your visit.

Barrington Public Library offers free or reduced admission to museums and cultural attractions around New England thanks to the generosity of the Friends of Barrington Public Library.

Procedure for Museum Pass Use

  • Have a valid Ocean State Libraries library card to reserve a museum pass
  • Passes may be reserved up to two weeks in advance either by person, by phone or through the library website
  • Each family is allowed no more than two (2) different passes per week during vacation weeks and holiday periods
  • Each family is allowed to check out no more than two (2) passes on any given day
  • Returnable passes are due back to the Library by 9 am the day after use
  • A fine of $5 per day is placed on your library card for overdue returnable passes
  • Patrons are responsible for replacement of lost passes; cost varies for each museum
  • Museum hours vary or change without notice.

Open: Thursday thru Sunday, 9:30 am to 3 pm. Nature Center & Aquarium capacity allows up to 35 visitors at any one time. Advance registration for entry is no longer required. However, there may be a wait if the Center has reached capacity. The information link below goes directly to the Audubon Society's reopening page. The trails and pollinator garden remain open to all to enjoy from dawn to dusk.

The Gardens & Grounds: Tuesday thru Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday 10 am to 3 pm. Blithewold will occasionally close early for Special Events.


Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mansion is closed to the public until further notice.

Museum Policy: Children younger than 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Adults unaccompanied by children must leave proper photo identification at the Admissions Desk. Examples: State Driver’s License or Passport.

Currently closed due to COVID-19. Hours will be updated once the museum reopens. The museum is offering free at-home live and recorded art talks, seminars, and tours. Go here to learn more.

With Pass: 2 adults free of charge. Includes the Fogg Museum, the Busch-Reisinger Museum, and the Arthur M. Sackler Museum.

Advance timed-tickets are required to allow for contactless entry, and we ask that visitors arrive to the museum no more than five minutes ahead of their designated time slot. Timed tickets can be reserved online here. Please visit the informational link below for the museum's reopening protocols. Last gallery admittance is 15 minutes prior to museum closing.


Unfortunately, at this time, the ICA is unable to apply the library discount to online or phone orders. You will need to show the library pass at the Visitor Services desk to use our discount for museum admission (the same process as before). Though we are unlikely to sell out of museum admission in advance, we will accommodate visitors using library passes to the best of our ability in the off-chance we run out of tickets for a particular timeslot.

Free Thursday Nights: Admission is FREE for all every Thursday from 5 to 9 pm during ICA Free Thursday Nights. Timed tickets are required for free days and nights. Timed tickets for Free Thursday Nights become available at 10 am the morning of.

Museum entry will be timed and capacity highly restricted. All tickets will be sold for a specific entry time between 11 am–3:30 pm (11 am–7:30 pm on Thursdays). Please arrive no more than five minutes ahead of your designated time slot. Museum ticket information here.


Library passholders must claim a printed, dated pass from their library. Provided with your pass will be instructions to purchase discounted, advance tickets online using a special promo code. This code can only be redeemed for the day you have reserved. The code will be included with your library pass.


Open: Wednesday through Monday from 11 am to 5 pm for TIMED TICKET ENTRY ONLY.  Museum stays open until 9 pm on Thursday. The last admission of the day will be a half hour before closing. 

Closed: Tuesdays. New Year's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (open until 3 pm), Christmas, and Patriots' Day. Open: MLK Day, Presidents Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day.

With pass: provides up to four (4) people with $5 admission per person. Children under the age of 18 are admitted free. A few times a year the Museum opens its doors to the public at no charge. On those days, tickets are distributed to all visitors (including museum pass-holders) until the Museum capacity for the entire day is reached. Patrons are advised to plan accordingly as these days are unusually busy, and call ahead at 617-566-1401.

The mission of this non-profit World War II Foundation is to produce educational films and create initiatives recognizing the bravery and enormous contributions made by the veterans and survivors of World War II, including education and preservation of materials honoring individual or collective triumphs during WWII.


The Museum is located at 344 Main Street in Wakefield, RI.
