Barrington Public Library’s Makerspace Studio is a dedicated space for the exploration of technologies past and present, providing access to a variety of STEM-related tools and equipment with the goal of creating engaging, hands-on experiences that promote discovery and self-directed learning.
Makerspace Studio is located in the Westfall Children's Program Room (Second Floor). Patrons must have a valid Ocean State Libraries card in good standing to use Makerspace equipment. For usage guidelines and restrictions, please refer to our Makerspace policies and procedures.
Makerspace Studio Hours
- Mondays: 10am-4pm (open hours)
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 1-4pm (by appointment only)
Accessing Makerspace Studio
Most equipment requires staff-led training before unsupervised use is allowed. To receive equipment training, visit Makerspace Studio during drop-in hours, book an appointment, or attend one of our Makerspace Studio classes. Click here to book an appointment.
