Barrington Public Library is pleased to welcome Melanie dai Medeiros to the Main Floor Gallery this August.
Melanie dai Medeiros is an interdisciplinary visual artist living and working in town. Inspired by a deep love for the East Bay's landscapes, coastlines, and communities, her work explores memory, place, and our connection to the natural world. Through layered materials and thoughtful processes, she uncovers the patterns, textures, and rhythms found in nature, reflecting on how our experiences shape the way we see and remember. She creates work that encourages people to look more closely at the world around them. Her goal is to inspire a deeper appreciation for the places we call home and to leave the world a little better than she found it.
The Jennifer English Gallery on the second floor will be closed this August while it undergoes repairs and receives a fresh coat of paint. There will be no artist exhibit during this time. Stay tuned for announcements about future exhibits!
