Barrington Library is very pleased to have received a grant from the Champlin Foundations for $10,750 to install new air conditioning for the computer network room at the library. In addition, the Champlin Foundations gave more than $14,000 on behalf of Barrington Library to Ocean State Library Network, to be used to purchase new computers and other computer related hardware for the library.
For many years the Champlin Foundations have been the premier supporters of libraries across Rhode Island. Because of consistent and generous grants from the Champlin Foundations for the past two decades, the Ocean State Library Network (formerly known as CLAN) has achieved a level of library service and interlibrary cooperation that is both extraordinary and exemplary, compared to any other state in the nation.
