Birding at Mount Hope Farm (Bristol)

Barrington Public Library and Ocean State Bird Club have partnered to offer three spring bird walks in the East Bay from April through June. The second walk will be held at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol.

Mount Hope Farm provides woodland, field, pond, and coastal habitats. We will walk the trails in search of spring migrants and returning, as well as year-round residents. Led by Lauren Parmelee.

Bring binoculars and insect repellent and wear footwear appropriate for trail walking. Heavy rain cancels the walk. Easy and level walking. Children ages 7 and older are welcome.

Meet the Author - Inns & Adventures: A History and Explorer's Guide to Vermont, New Hampshire, and the Berkshires

Meet the author Alison O'Leary to learn about her book Inns & Adventures: A History and Explorer's Guide to Vermont, New Hampshire, and the Berkshires published by On Cape Publications in 2015.

Have you ever wandered through the woods and wondered who'd been there before? New England's woods and wild places are full of stories: cannibalism in Vermont, Thoreau's cold and lonely night on Massachusett's Mt. Greylock, an Eskimo in New Hampshire.
